Bizen pottery, or Bizenware, has been produced for over 1000 years around Imbe area of Bizen city in Okayama, which is one of the six ancient kiln sites. Put in the kiln unglazed, but due to the 7-10 day wood-firing where temperature hit about 1250℃（2282℉), becomes naturally glazed with wood ash or acquires various colors. Bizen pottery is simple and unassuming in form but has a noble, timeless quality.
In this experience course, you can make your own pottery works with an electric wheel under the instruction of a professional Bizen potter. No worries if you have not experienced before. The works you made will be fired in the kiln of the potter. Try to make your own “real” Bizen pottery!
The place of this experience locates in the center town of Imbe where you can find many shops of Bizen pottery. You can enjoy shopping before and after the experience course.

How you can attend the workshop.
1. Apply for a workshop from the Facebook page
2. Receive a confirmation message
3. Come to the workshop on the day and time of your reservation
Click/tap “Book here” at the top of the page and jump to the reservation page (Facebook page) for all workshops. Enter the date, time and other details and complete the application. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed at this point.
The workshop provider will check your application and contact you via Messenger if you are a Facebook user or send a confirmation to your registered e-mail address. The reservation is completed upon the receipt of such confirmation.
Please come to the workshop on the reserved date and time. The workshop provider will greet you there. Please refer to “Access” on the bottom line to check how to get to the venue. Now all you have to do is enjoy yourself to the fullest! We hope you will enjoy the experience!
